UAE Leads Multi-Nation Aid Mission in Gaza

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is spearheading an international humanitarian relief mission in Gaza, under the banner of "Operation Chivalrous Knight 3" and the "Birds of Goodness" initiative. This mission, a collaborative effort with Jordan and several European countries, aims to deliver urgent aid to Palestinians struggling amid a severe humanitarian crisis.

The crisis in Gaza, caused by ongoing conflict and blockade, has left many Palestinians without access to essential supplies, facing hunger and displacement. To address this, the coalition is employing air and land convoys to deliver aid directly to hard-to-reach areas.

Aircraft from Germany, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, and Italy are participating in the aerial drops, while the UAE also sends aid convoys through Egypt’s Rafah Crossing, supervised by Emirati teams deployed in Egyptian port towns.

The coalition has conducted at least 70 humanitarian airdrops, delivering over 3,940 tonnes of supplies. These drops include food supplies, essential humanitarian goods such as dried food, rice, flour, and baby formula, as well as equipment like pipes for desalination plants to support water access.

The UAE alone has airdropped over 3,873 tonnes across 66 operations as of early August 2025 and sent more than 200 aid trucks carrying over 4,565 tonnes of humanitarian aid into Gaza via Egypt in the recent weeks.

This scale reflects the UAE's commitment to support the Palestinian people and coordinate with regional and international partners for rapid, effective relief amidst the ongoing humanitarian emergency. The UAE plans to resume humanitarian airdrops over Gaza in the near future.

The UAE's efforts in Gaza are part of its broader international humanitarian endeavours, demonstrating its unwavering support for the Palestinian people and commitment to global humanitarian efforts.
