Eva Mae Stuckman: A Life of Service and Community

Eva Mae Stuckman, a beloved member of the Albuquerque community, passed away on May 15th, 2024, at the age of 97. Born and raised in Bloomfield, New Mexico, Eva moved to Albuquerque after graduating from Bloomfield High School.

Eva's life was marked by a strong work ethic and a commitment to service. She worked at the telephone company until her marriage, and later dedicated herself to volunteering. Eva was a member of the Albuquerque Assistance League and volunteered at their Bargain Box for an impressive 53 years.

Eva's life was filled with joy and activity. She enjoyed various pastimes such as fishing, golfing, dancing, and playing games. Her passion for these activities was evident in her long and active life.

Eva is survived by her daughter Judy McNama and her husband Mike McNama, her sister Mary Lou Ross, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband George W. Stuckman, daughters Eva Jane Stuckman and Jacqueline A. West, parents Ollie and Gertrude Dean, brothers Jessie, LB, James, Alvin, and Billy Joe, and sisters Jewel Fay and Laura Belle.

Eva's life was a testament to her dedication and love for her community. Her service to the Albuquerque Assistance League will long be remembered, and her legacy will continue to inspire others.
