Alert issued for undisclosed milk and cashews in Goodles product line
Gooder Foods, a prominent producer of plant-based and traditional ice cream products, has voluntarily recalled several lots of its Goodles Vegan Is Believin' and Here Comes Truffle products due to potential undeclared milk and cashew content. The recall was initiated due to incorrect packaging, and consumers with allergies or severe sensitivities to milk and/or cashew are advised not to consume these recalled products and return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
The recalled lots were produced between April 7 and April 15, 2025. The recall is related to a half-gallon Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough carton with a Moo-llennium Crunch Ice Cream lid, displaying the code '061027524'. This code can be used to identify the impacted products.
The recall was made with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and was not related to any earlier product recalls or product distribution issues mentioned. The recall was initiated due to consumer feedback, resulting in six reported allergic reactions for Here Comes Truffle and two for Vegan is Believin'.
Three consumers reported injuries after being struck in the face by an ejected lid, but it's important to note that this article does not provide information about any specific actions taken by the FDA regarding the Blue Bell Ice Cream recall.
The Vegan Is Believin' - Plant Based White Cheddar with Spirals may contain milk, and the Here Comes Truffle - Creamy Truffle Flavored Cheddar and Shells may contain cashew. These undeclared ingredients pose a health risk for consumers with nut allergies.
Gooder Foods is notifying all distributors, retailers, and consumers who may have received the impacted lots. The products were distributed nationally from April 29, 2025, to August 5, 2025. However, it's worth noting that the recall does not affect all Blue Bell Ice Cream products.
In a separate incident, Walmart recalled approximately 850,000 of its stainless steel water bottles in July due to lids that could forcefully eject, causing injury. This recall is unrelated to the Gooder Foods recall discussed in this article.
Consumers are advised to check their products carefully and exercise caution when consuming any ice cream products. For more information, consumers can contact Gooder Foods at their customer service hotline.
