A Tragic Incident in Denton:

Shocking news emerges from Denton, Greater Manchester, as a toddler battles serious, potentially life-altering facial injuries following a fierce dog attack.

The grim incident occurred on Thursday evening, leaving in its wake a one-year-old girl, a 21-year-old woman, and a 53-year-old man, all seriously injured but not in critical condition.

The scene of the tragedy unfolded on Baslow Road, with a crime scene still intact for the investigators to piece together the preceding events.

GMP's (Greater Manchester Police) Tactical Dog Unit swiftly arrived at the scene and seized the dog responsible for the attack. Regrettably, the dog was ultimately euthanized for public safety.

Detective Superintendent Gareth Jenkins voiced the gravity of the situation: "Last night, we witnessed an appalling attack that has left a one-year-old girl grappling with potentially life-changing injuries. Her family, understandably, is in utter distress." He emphasized that the family is receiving support from the police as the girl undergoes treatment.

Witnesses reported seeing people covered in blood at the scene, underscoring the severity of the attack. Police are currently appealing for any potential witnesses to come forward with information or footage that could aid their ongoing investigation. This includes CCTV, mobile, or dash cam footage.
