In a thought-provoking event scheduled for 7pm-8pm on Friday 10 November 2023, Brian, the Vann Fellow in Christianity and the Armed Forces and the Executive Director of the International Centre for Moral Injury at Durham University, will speak on the cost of war and the sacrifice of those "who will not grow old". Brian's talk will focus on the agony of moral trauma amongst military veterans of modern conflicts, with a particular emphasis on the writings of Wilfred Owen and Siegfried Sassoon. The event is open to all individuals who are interested in attending.
