Elon Musk's allegedly excessive drug use is said to have caused him bladder troubles.

Elon Musk, tech mogul and CEO of Tesla, faced allegations of excessive drug consumption during his support for Donald Trump's presidential campaign in 2023. According to the "New York Times," sources close to Musk claimed that he consumed the anesthetic ketamine to an extent that resulted in bladder problems, a known side effect of the drug.

Additionally, Musk was reported to have taken other substances such as ecstasy and hallucinogenic mushrooms. Photographs obtained by the press showed Musk traveling with a medication box containing about 20 different pills, believed to include Adderall, a medication typically used to treat ADHD.

During a press conference with Trump at the White House, Musk declined to comment on the allegations, instead questioning the credibility of the newspaper. Trump expressed no concerns, stating, "I'm not worried about Elon."

Musk has previously been open about his drug use, confessing in March 2024 that he used ketamine to combat depression and estimated his consumption every two weeks. In the past, he was also seen smoking cannabis, a practice legal in several U.S. states.

The allegations of drug use during Musk's political endeavors have raised concerns about his suitability for such roles and sparked a controversy due to his influential position in the campaign. Musk's financial support for Trump's campaign, including millions spent on conservative candidates, has further emphasized the impact his drug use may have on perceptions of his political involvement.

As of now, Musk has not directly addressed the specific allegations of drug use but expressed a desire to continue advising President Trump.

  2. In the realm of general news, its coverage of Elon Musk's drug use has sparked debates on his suitability for political roles, especially given his significant financial backing of political candidates like Donald Trump, which is part of the politics domain.
  3. Despite the controversy surrounding his drug use, especially with respect to ketamine and other substances, Elon Musk has shown an interest in maintaining his involvement in science, specifically in the space sector, which is traditionally seen as separate from health-and-wellness and mental health issues.
