Ev. Grundschule Löhne-Obernbeck Named 'Healthy School' for Health Initiatives
The Ev. Grundschule Löhne-Obernbeck has been recognized as the 'Healthy School in the Wittekindskreis' for its commitment to health-promoting activities. The award was presented by Renata Lleshi of the Kreis-Gesundheitsamt and sports scientist Pascal Kramer.
The Grundschule Löhne-Obernbeck implemented a range of health initiatives during the project period. These included measures on dental health, healthy nutrition, and social training, all supported by external experts. The school also ensured the health of teaching staff was considered, implementing at least one measure specifically for them.
The 'Healthy Schools in the Wittekindskreis' program, supported by the Kreis-Gesundheitsamt for nine years, offers schools such as Löhne-Obernbeck support in implementing health-promoting activities. Other schools recognized this year include Elisabeth-von-der-Pfalz-Berufskolleg in Herford, Grundschule in Westerenger, and Erich-Kästner-Gesamtschule in Bünde and Kirchlengern. The program offers free individual and group offers for students and teaching staff, as well as advice on 'growing up and teaching health'. Schools can register to participate by contacting the Gesundheitsregion plus Kreis Minden-Lübbecke directly.
The Grundschule Löhne-Obernbeck's dedication to health and well-being has earned it the 'Healthy School in the Wittekindskreis' award. The school's efforts, along with the support of the Kreis-Gesundheitsamt and other institutions, highlight the importance of promoting health in educational settings. The program continues to support schools in the region, with more expected to join and benefit in the future.
