The expansion has been welcomed by Mayor Prof. Dr. Jan Werner, who emphasized the importance of the designated clinic parking spaces for patients and visitors who may not be able to use public transportation. He also stated that it is in the interest of the city of Langen for patients to be able to arrive at the clinic in a relaxed manner by car.
The clinic's expansion includes the addition of three new departments: vascular surgery, pulmonology, and neurology. Jan Voigt, Managing Director of Asklepios Clinic Langen, highlighted the need for the expansion to accommodate the increased traffic due to the clinic's growth.
County Administrator Oliver Quilling also emphasized the importance of the expansion for patient safety, satisfaction, and relaxation during arrival. The expansion brings the total number of parking spaces at Asklepios Clinic Langen to approximately 511.
Despite the expansion, the current parking solution is designed for about two years, providing time for planning a long-term solution. The mayor did not mention any specific plans for the use of the new parking area rented from medi park langen GmbH.
