In a significant move for South Africa's e-hailing landscape, Bolt has launched a new branded Citroën fleet in Cape Town. This expansion aims to expand mobility and empower local drivers, as demand for reliable vehicles in the city continues to rise.

The new fleet, which already has 21 vehicles on the road, is a result of a partnership between Bolt, Auto24, and Pro Driver Placements. Daisy Kisten, Country Manager at Auto24, and Elize Faivelowitz, Director of Pro Driver Placements, are leading this partnership.

Every Bolt-branded Citroën vehicle goes through a full lifecycle with Auto24 before being deployed. The vehicles are then reconditioned and serviced by Pro Driver Placements, ensuring they are road-ready and in top condition.

The fleet is also available via Bolt Business, targeting corporate clients who want to align their travel with social impact goals. The number of vehicles in the fleet is expected to grow to 64 by the end of June.

Lerato Motsoeneng, Bolt's Senior GM for South Africa, stated that this launch is a pivotal moment for Bolt in Cape Town. Daisy Kisten, echoing the sentiment, said, "It's mobility, done right." Elize Faivelowitz added, "This is about dignity and stability for drivers. It's more than just cars - it's about people."

This partnership is significant as it involves women leading both the business and operational side of mobility. Bolt's latest move is expected to contribute positively to South Africa's e-hailing market, offering a more inclusive and sustainable solution for drivers and riders alike.
