Fire in Hattersheim: Resident Rescued, Apartment Uninhabitable
A fire broke out in a first-floor apartment on Friedrich-Ebert-Straße in Hattersheim am Main at 05:15 on Monday morning. The blaze, classified as 'F2Y - Residential Fire - Lives at Risk', was extinguished by approximately 50 emergency service personnel. The resident, appearing to be suffering from dementia, was rescued and taken to the hospital. A neighbor alerted the fire department and was examined for suspected smoke inhalation but was able to return to her apartment.
The fire started in the kitchen, where burning objects on the stove spread to kitchen furniture. The apartment was heavily smoked and is currently uninhabitable, but the rest of the multi-family house was not affected.
