Breast Cancer Awareness Month begins on October 1st, and ABC7 Chicago is thrilled to collaborate with iHeartMedia for the Sista Strut event. This annual walk aims to raise awareness and support for breast cancer initiatives in the community.
The upcoming Sista Strut event will occur in two locations this year. On October 2nd, participants can join at 10 a.m. at the Salvation Army Kroc Center in West Pullman, Chicago. Meanwhile, the next event is scheduled for Saturday, October 4th, 2025, in downtown St. Louis, hosted by iHeartMedia.
Tone Kapone, the popular 107.5 WGCI afternoon host, is backing the cause. He shared his personal connection to the event, emphasizing the importance of raising awareness and supporting those affected by breast cancer.
