Kamchatka Residents Get Better Hepatitis Care with New Medications and Specialized Centers
Kamchatka residents with viral hepatitis B can now access improved care. The Kamchatka Regional Center for AIDS Prevention and Infectious Disease Control has an adequate supply of medications for treating viral hepatitis C and B. New patients will be prioritized and referred to the hepatological center for specialized care.
Patients will undergo antiviral therapy at the infectious disease department, followed by monitoring at the primary care level. Modern treatment schemes can eliminate the virus in 99% of cases, as confirmed by PCR tests three months post-treatment. Ekaterina Vasilevna Stepanova, head of the Kamchatka Regional Center, has overseen these improvements. Additionally, residents can now receive priority consultations at the Kamchatka Regional Oncological Dispensary's AIDS Center through a 'green corridor' system.
The enhanced care and treatment for viral hepatitis in Kamchatka Krai offer hope to residents affected by these conditions. With adequate medication supply, specialized care, and priority consultations, patients can now access more effective and efficient care.
