Meghan discloses her reliance on traditional Indian healthcare during her pregnancy
In a recent podcast episode, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, disclosed her exploration of ancient Indian remedies during her pregnancies with Archie and Lilibet. On her show Confessions of A Female Founder, she chatted with Hannah Mendoza, founder of Clevr Blends, and shared her embrace of the holistic Ayurveda philosophy, meaning "knowledge of life."
Meghan confessed to consulting an Ayurvedic practitioner, learning to view food as essential medicine. She praised "adaptogens," such as specific mushrooms, yet acknowledged some might see this approach as a tad "psychedelic and super woo-woo." Explaining the misconceptions around adaptogens, Meghan said, "But it's really just a food trend, being pioneered by forward-thinkers like you, that suggests these items and ingredients possess unique properties, ensuring overall wellbeing in a safe manner."
She continued, "During my pregnancies, I underwent extensive Ayurvedic guidance, focusing much of it on seeing food as medicine." Meghan believes her fascination with adaptogens was significantly ahead of the current trend, as it emphasized the natural, therapeutic properties these ingredients could offer.
Following her dedication to Ayurveda, Meghan invested in Clevr Blends, an organic instant lattes firm, after leaving her full-time royal duties in 2020. Meghan sent her neighbor, Oprah Winfrey, a basket of Clevr Blends' products, leading to a post by Winfrey making a turmeric Golden SuperLatte for herself based on Meghan's instructions.
In his memoir, Spare, Prince Harry admitted experimenting with psychedelic mushrooms in California in 2016. Moreover, reflecting on their childbirth experience, Harry revealed that he and Meghan played Sanskrit songs in the delivery room and whispered loving words to their newborn, taking guidance from an Ayurvedic doctor emphasizing the importance of a baby's emotional bonding.
Recently, Meghan shared a photograph of Prince Harry and their children on social media. The post was made after Harry faced criticism for igniting speculation about the King's health following an interview with BBC News, discussing his security concerns in the UK. Harry expressed doubts about his father's health, wanting reconciliation with the Royal Family, yet claimed the King had stopped communicating with him. These remarks raised further concerns, potentially fueling speculation about the King's health status.
