Merrithew's Toronto Flagship Reopens as Global Stott Pilates Hub in 2026
Merrithew is set to reopen its Toronto flagship studio in January 2026, transforming it into the global hub for Stott Pilates Academy. The studio promises an upgraded space with high-end reformers and dedicated classrooms for instructor training.
The new studio will offer members unlimited mat and reformer classes under a single membership plan. This includes access to assessments, private sessions, and discounts on courses and workshops. Merrithew, founded by Lindsay and Moira Merrithew, specializes in fitness and wellness equipment and education.
Stott Pilates, the method taught at the studio, is a contemporary evolution of Joseph Pilates' original work. It integrates modern exercise science and rehabilitation principles. The studio will also host a speaker series in early 2026, featuring international thought leaders and in-house experts. A waitlist has been created ahead of the studio's opening.
The relaunched studio promises an enhanced Pilates experience, with upgraded facilities and a comprehensive membership plan. It aims to be a global hub for innovation in movement, as stated by Merrithew CEO Jim Heidenreich. Interested individuals can secure their spot by joining the waitlist.
