The twelfth edition of the "Benefit Star Ride" is set to take place on the Old Harburg Elb Bridge (also known as the "Britsch") on July 14th. This annual event, organized by the Hanse-Bikers, aims to support the sponsorship association for sick children at the UKE.

Over the past 17 years, the event has managed to collect approximately 89,000 euros for the cause. This year, organisers expect several hundred visitors, including bikers, trikers, quad and scooter riders, as well as non-bikers from the region who wish to admire the chrome-plated machines and make donations.

Participants can join the ride individually, in small groups, or as part of large convoys from various regions. The day will be filled with live music performances by "JP King" and "Aitch Eleven," as well as refreshments such as cold drinks, coffee, cake, and grilled food.

One unique aspect of the "Benefit Star Ride" is that it is not a commercial event and does not generate profits. All proceeds from donations go directly to the sponsorship association without deductions for administrative costs. During the event, visitors will be informed about the amount of donations achieved and the intended purpose.

This year, donations collected throughout the year will be handed over at the event. The "Benefit Star Ride" is more than just a ride or parade; it's a community coming together to make a difference in the lives of sick children.

For those interested in learning more about the history, purpose, or past donations of the "Benefit Star Ride," it's recommended to check dedicated local charity websites, historical archives related to Harburg or related charity organizations, or contact the organizers directly for comprehensive details about this specific event.

The "Benefit Star Ride" is not only a health-and-wellness event for bikers, trikers, quad, and scooter riders, but it also attracts non-bikers who are interested in other aspects of the day, such as live music performances, refreshments, and the opportunity to make donations for a good cause. This year's event aims to add to the over 89,000 euros already raised for the sponsorship association for sick children at the UKE, which is part of the ride's focus on science, health-and-wellness, and community lifestyle.
