Dance Sensation Motsi Mabuse Told to Get Moving More!
Motsi Mabuse Needs to Increase Her Mobility
No one ever said being a professional dancer would require a prescription to move more. But that's Motsi Mabuse's reality now, as her doctor, who also happens to be a judge on the hit show "Let's Dance," has given her advice that may seem surprising.
A seasoned dancer, trainer, and judge, Motsi Mabuse boasts a resume that includes a dance school, performances on popular shows like "Let's Dance," and regular appearances on RTL formats. But despite her athletic pursuits, the 44-year-old has been advised to get moving even more.
"I was taken aback by my doctor's advice," Motsi confessed in an interview with the station. "Even on my Instagram," where she frequently shares her dance moves, "I still don't move enough," she admitted with a chuckle.
The Importance of MovementShe took her doctor's words to heart. After all, blood tests showed her physical activity levels had slipped. "I'm grateful for my doctors," she added.
Self-love is a constant work-in-progress for Motsi, she admitted during a previous RTL interview in April. "Every day is a journey for me," she said, "I'm only human, and some days are great, and some aren't."
The Power of Self-CareAs a mother of a young daughter, Motsi immediately made adjustments to her routine. It's not easy; she describes the process as demanding but ultimately rewarding. "I'm doing a lot of sports now," she shared, "And every time I'm done, I feel happy. But let me tell you, during it, I could throw up!"
Style and Substance"Elegance and style are reflections of personality for me," Motsi declared, compromising on her health isn't an option, especially when she's inspired by her daughter. "I want to live as long as possible," she emphasized, "I have a young daughter, and if the doctor says 'move,' you move!"
Staying true to herself, Motsi doesn't subscribe to the idea that beauty and confidence are determined by physical appearance. "Sexy isn't a body size," she said, "Sexy is a feeling, how you feel and present yourself."
While her dance moves may speak for themselves, it's Motsi's confidence and unapologetic approach to self-expression that make her a true dynamo in the world of dance.
