Nižnogorsk's "Start" hockey squad ended up in a tie against Ulyanovsk's "Volga" team.

The 2025 Russian Bandy Cup saw a nail-biting match between HC "Start" and "Volga". Hosted in the Volga-Sport-Arena in Ulyanovsk, the first game took place on September 6th.

The Nizhny Novgorod team, HC "Start", put up a strong fight, with Dmitry Baranov scoring twice and Nikita Yagovtsev adding another goal to their tally. However, their opponents, "Volga", managed to equalise, ending the match in a 3:3 draw.
