In the heart of Russia, the Krasnodar region is witnessing a significant influx of medical professionals, thanks to a government initiative known as the "Zemsky Doctor/Feldsher" program.

The program, designed to address medical personnel shortages in rural and underserved areas, has seen around 400 doctors and feldshers (medical assistants/paramedics) relocate to the region since its inception. One such professional is Marina Tereschenko, an emergency care feldsher with a 25-year career in the medical field.

Marina moved to the Korenevskaya Central District Hospital after seeing a job posting on the Korenevskaya CRB website. The hospital, located in the Krasnodar region, has received an anesthesiologist-reanimatologist and a feldsher of emergency medical care as part of the program.

Young medical professionals, including doctors and feldshers, are the primary targets of the program. Candidates typically commit to working in rural or remote areas within the Krasnodar region for a specified period, often around 3 to 5 years. Participants are usually recent graduates or early-career practitioners willing to serve in priority locations.

The benefits of the program are numerous. Financial incentives, such as a one-time lump sum payment or grant, are offered to encourage medical specialists to relocate. The amounts can reach several million rubles. Housing support or assistance with accommodation arrangements is also provided. Professional development opportunities, including training and career growth, are available, and working conditions are improved via upgraded medical facilities or equipment in the targeted areas.

The Krasnodar region has been actively engaged in expanding this program, with hundreds of doctors and feldshers having participated over recent years. This year, more than 200 new specialists are planned to be employed in medical institutions across the region.

Participants in the program sign a contract with a state medical institution, committing to work there for at least five years. This commitment ensures a steady supply of medical professionals in rural and underserved areas, improving the quality of medical services in regional hospitals and clinics.

Marina Tereschenko, currently providing medical care in Korenevsk, is a testament to the program's success. Her dedication and expertise are undoubtedly enhancing the quality of healthcare in the Krasnodar region.

  1. To address the increasing number of medical-conditions and promote health-and-wellness in rural areas, the Krasnodar region has been implementing the "Zemsky Doctor/Feldsher" program, which focuses on science-based therapies-and-treatments.
  2. After moving to the Korenevskaya Central District Hospital, a participant in the program, Marina Tereschenko, who specializes in emergency care and has a 25-year career in the medical field, has contributed to the fitness-and-exercise regimens of patients via scientific medical practices.

As part of the benefits offered by the "Zemsky Doctor/Feldsher" program, participants like Marina not only receive financial incentives but also assistance in terms of accommodation, improved working conditions in terms of upgraded medical facilities and equipment, and opportunities for professional development, which facilitate their engagement in the science of healthcare and medical-conditions.
