Police apprehend two individuals following discovery of a dead pregnant woman enclosed in a sealed plastic container

In a shocking turn of events, authorities in Ohio have arrested two men in connection with the murder of Brittany Fuhr-Storms, a pregnant woman whose body was discovered in a storage container in Jackson Township.

The suspects, identified as James Rothenbusch and Rick Sheppard, are facing multiple charges related to her death. The Middletown Police Department is now taking over the investigation.

Brittany Fuhr-Storms's body was found in a plastic tote along Fort Anthony Road. According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, she was pregnant at the time of her death, which was confirmed through an autopsy.

James Rothenbusch, who has a significant criminal history dating back to 2005, has been charged with tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse, drug trafficking, possession, and failure to report a death. He admitted to drug trafficking but claimed Fuhr-Storms died under suspicious circumstances in his home.

Rothenbusch was not alone in his alleged involvement. Rick Sheppard, of Middletown, was also arrested and charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence. Sheppard allegedly told investigators that Fuhr-Storms died at the residence and was kept there for nearly a week before disposal.

The discovery was made by police and deputies responding to reports of a dead person. A search warrant was executed at Rothenbusch's Logan Avenue home on August 6, where drug paraphernalia and items believed to be related to Fuhr-Storms' death were found.

Both Rothenbusch and Sheppard admitted to knowing that Fuhr-Storms was pregnant. The investigation into her death is ongoing, and more details are expected to be released as the investigation progresses.
