Police Station Interruption: Birth of a Child at PSP Police Station's Hall During TVDE Trip
In the early hours of Monday, the PSP Metro Lisbon team played a unique role, assisting in a birth at the Rio de Mouro train station in Sintra.
This unexpected event unfolded when a driver pulled over at the 89th Station - Rio do Mouro, where she urgently sought help from two on-duty police officers.
Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the officers lent a hand,activating emergency services via 112. However, it wasn't long before the baby made an entrance in the station's entrance hall.
Following the epic arrival, the Volunteer Firefighters of Agualva-Cacém stepped in to take care of the umbilical cord and swiftly transported the new mom and baby to Hospital Fernando da Fonseca.
