In a heartwarming visit, Kirill Bychkov, a member of the Cabinet of Yakutia, recently paid a visit to the "Energetik" summer camp. The purpose of the visit was to meet with children from the Oymyakonsky district who have been affected by recent rain floods.

The "Energetik" camp, spread over 14 hectares, currently accommodates 36 boys and girls from the same district. Eight more children from the Abyisky district and one child from the Momsky district are expected to join them, with their stay extending until August 20. The camp, which can house 256 children, has seven buildings on its grounds.

The administration of the children's institution at "Energetik" focuses on children from large and low-income families, as well as families of war veterans. The Prime Minister emphasised the importance of ensuring that these children feel safe, cared for, and loved during their stay at the camp.

The rest and health improvement of the children were organised by the Prime Minister's order during a working trip to the district. After lunch, the children can rest, take outdoor walks, or sleep. In the evenings, there are competitions, games, discos, and various musical events to keep spirits high.

Psychologists work with the children at the "Energetik" camp, both individually and in groups, to help them cope with the challenges they have faced.

Looking ahead, four new modular buildings will be built at "Energetik" next year, each accommodating 50 students. However, as of mid-2025, no public information is available regarding the increase in capacity of the camp that these new buildings will bring.

For updates on the "Energetik" summer camp and its capacity increase, we recommend keeping an eye on official regional news sites or government sources.

  1. Despite the ongoing focus on health-and-wellness and rest for the children at the "Energetik" camp, it is also crucial to address their mental health, with psychologists working to help them overcome the challenges they have faced.
  2. The construction of four new modular buildings at "Energetik" next year will likely be a topic of discussion in general-news and political circles, as these buildings could potentially increase the camp's capacity to better serve children from various districts.
