Russia's 2025 Summer Health Campaign Engages Thousands of Youth
The summer of 2025 saw a successful health campaign in Russia, with thousands of young citizens, including children from Donbass, participating. Over 25,000 youth rested and recovered in Sochi alone, marking a significant increase in engagement compared to previous years.
The campaign offered a wide range of activities. Over 70 recreational platforms were opened across the city, hosting over 4,000 events for 10,000 children. Around 30,000 young Sochi residents participated in sports tournaments, while almost 2,500 teenagers gained practical experience by working on local enterprises. Patriotic education was a key focus, with 19 shifts for young army cadets, students, and creative youth, as well as meetings with participants of the SVO.
Seven health camps and numerous day camps were opened, accommodating over 13,000 children, including 400 from the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics. Over 1,500 children visited sanatoriums and camps in Kuban, and over 2,100 teenagers embarked on multi-day hikes. The new tourist train 'To the South' will depart from Moscow to Sochi on November 1, further boosting accessibility to these programmes.
