The Wartberg public bath in Pforzheim has temporarily closed its children's wading pool, following an exceedance of water quality values. This is not the first time such an issue has arisen, as the pool was previously closed for a day last week due to similar concerns.

First Mayor and Baths Commissioner Dirk Büscher visited the facility this morning to assess the situation. He reiterated the importance of ensuring the health and safety of bathers, particularly the youngest visitors, and expressed his understanding for any inconvenience caused by the pool closure.

In an effort to improve water quality, the Pforzheim Public Transport and Baths Authority employees are working diligently to find a solution and reopen the children's wading pool as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the non-swimmer areas in the Nagold bath remain available for use.

In light of the closure, Dirk Büscher also encouraged all bathers to shower before entering the water to reduce the introduction of contaminants like sunscreen and sweat. The EPVB, which oversees the public baths, emphasised the importance of such measures in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors.

While the current status and expected reopening date of the children's wading pool are not yet confirmed, Dirk Büscher assured the public that they will be informed immediately when it is possible to reopen the pool. For the most accurate and updated information, it is recommended to check directly with the local municipal authorities or the management of the Wartberg public bath.

Science can play a significant role in finding solutions to improve the water quality in the children's wading pool at the Wartberg public bath, ensuring a health-and-wellness environment for all visitors, especially the young ones. Meanwhile, maintaining good hygiene practices such as showering before entering the water may help reduce the introduction of potential contaminants, as emphasized by the EPVB.
