New Releases and Upcoming Albums in the Metal Scene

In the world of heavy metal, several exciting new releases and upcoming albums are set to shake things up. Here's a roundup of some of the most anticipated news:

Dying Wish has announced the release of their new single, "Revenge In Carnage", scheduled for September 26. The single promises a fresh dose of metal energy from the band.

The Hara, a trio consisting of vocalist Josh Taylor, drummer Jack Kennedy, and guitarist Zack Breen, has released not one but two new singles. "Easier To Die" is available now, while fans can look forward to the second single, also titled "Easier To Die", on January 23.

Soulfly is back with a new single, "Storm The Gates". This heavy track, with its thick, muscular groove, barked vocals, and a hint of tribal percussion, is a part of the upcoming album "Chama", scheduled for release on October 24.

Mudvayne has returned after a four-year wait with the new single, "Hurt People Hurt People". The staccato riffing and gravel-throated snarls in this single are reminiscent of their earlier work, promising a return to form for the band.

Avatar has announced their new album, "Don't Go In The Forest", scheduled for release on Halloween. The first single from the album, "Tonight We Must Be Warriors", features a Revolutionary War-style military drum beat and flute, creating a stompy metal anthem.

Author & Punisher has also joined the lineup with a new single, "Thrush", scheduled for release on October 3.

Viserion has announced the release of "Reign Of Fire" on January 16, 2026. Details about this release are scarce, but fans are eagerly awaiting more information.

Spite has released "Lights Out", a new single scheduled for release on October 31.

Pupil Slicer has unveiled the title-track single "Fleshwork" from their upcoming third album, scheduled for release on November 7.

Nine Treasures has announced their fourth full-length album titled "Seeking The Absolute", scheduled for release on October 24. The lead single, "Real Dream", blends traditional Mongolian instruments with an undulating beat and grandiose melodies.

Kenyan grindcore duo Duma has recently folded, but frontman Lord Spikeheart is still active. His latest single, "Reign", blends industrial, grindcore, and death metal into a furious, vicious ball of howling noise. The full "Reign" EP is scheduled for release on September 12.

Zetra has released a new single, "Charlotte", featuring Justine Jones of Employed To Serve. This single covers a song originally by Kittie and has a visceral edge.

In additional news, Max Cavalera, the frontman of Soulfly, has been touring with the resurrected Nailbomb, but it has not affected the direction of new Soulfly music.

Lastly, new albums from Dying Wish, Spite, Viserion, Rory, Pupil Slicer, Author & Punisher, and The Hara are scheduled for release in the near future. Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting releases!
