U.S. Marine Accused of Planning to Dispose of Newborn: "Dispose of Infant"

In Corpus Christi, Texas, a woman named Lina Davis has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against U.S. Marine Christopher Cooprider. The lawsuit alleges that Cooprider impregnated Davis and secretly laced her hot chocolate with abortion pills without her consent on April 5, 2025.

Davis claims that shortly after consuming the drink, she experienced severe bleeding and cramping, requiring immediate medical attention. Cooprider, initially helping to arrange care for her children, subsequently stopped responding to her messages and calls.

The court case, being handled by a federal court, includes text messages exchanged over several weeks, which reveal a troubling turn of events. According to the allegations, Cooprider dissolved at least ten abortion pills in a cup of hot chocolate, with the intention of ending the pregnancy.

The text messages also reveal a hostile exchange between the two parties, as Cooprider referred to the baby as a "thing" and accused Davis of having a "psychopathic mindset." The marine expressed feelings of being "trapped" by the situation at the end of March.

Davis, however, claims that Cooprider asked her to "get rid of" the baby but she refused. As the situation escalated, Cooprider's messages towards Davis became increasingly hostile.

The Marine Corps has confirmed awareness of the civil lawsuit related to a student at Marine Aviation Training Support Group 22, but no further information is available due to the matter being civil. Cooprider remains in active duty.

The open box of abortion pills was reported to the police, and the case is currently under investigation. The tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of consent and the grave consequences that can arise from such actions.
