On the morning of June 12, a tragic traffic accident occurred on the second kilometer of the RAD 'Aldan' highway. The incident was reported to the Tomponsky District Police Department at 4:00 AM, and the Yakutia Traffic Police has since been reporting on the case.
The accident involved a 'Toyota Corolla Axio' driven by a 1993-born individual. According to the police, the driver was under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol level of 0.741 mg/l. The driver also admitted to taking the car without his civilian wife's permission and does not possess a valid driver's license.
Sadly, as a result of the overturn, a 1990-born female passenger lost her life. Another passenger, a 2001-born man seated on the back right seat, suffered a broken spine. The front passenger, a young woman, suffered a broken shoulder blade. Unfortunately, no new information about the condition of the passengers was provided.
It is important to note that none of the passengers were wearing seat belts. If a driver under the influence of alcohol causes a fatal accident, the punishment is equivalent to that for intentional homicide - imprisonment for a term of 5 to 12 years.
The materials of the case have been transferred to the investigative authorities, and a criminal case has been opened in connection with the accident. The car involved in the accident belongs to the driver's civilian wife. The search results do not provide any information about who caused the accident on June 12 at 3:00 AM on the second kilometer of the RAD 'Aldan' highway.
Despite the driver's injuries, unlike the passengers, he was not injured in the accident. The driver has a previous conviction for driving under the influence. The authorities are continuing their investigation into this unfortunate incident.
