Women hailing from Yakutsk, identified as heavier-sized, are set to appear on a national TV program.
Head over to Yakutia.INFO on the 16th of January for the launch of "Friday!", as they unveil the second season of their reality show, "Big Girls". This engaging series aims to help 14 heavy-hearted, overweight participants from Russia, including sisters Nastya (24, 126 kg) and Tanya (20, 134 kg) from Yakutsk, as they battle their weight due to various hardships.
Growing up, the sisters' grandmother, who owned a grocery store in Yakutsk, allowed excessive food choices, leading to rapid weight gain. Later, they were bullied by their family, with their grandmother and relatives calling them fat. Escaping the pressure, Nastya left home and married, while Tanya followed suit a few years later.
Today, Nastya works as a nurse, but her excessive weight makes her professional and personal life difficult. Maternity has been elusive, as she's been diagnosed with secondary infertility. Tanya, studying to be a paramedic-laboratory assistant, faces similar physical constraints due to her weight. Her husband also adopted her unhealthy habits, gaining weight over the years.
The sisters will live in a camp for three months, facing challenges with celebrated coaches Eteri Tutberidze and Kirill Kosharin, renowned dietitian Dr. Regina, and psychologist Anetta Orlova guiding them throughout. The winner will receive 1 million rubles to bring their dream to life.
